To brighten my February Ali at Over a Cuppa has tagged me in the “Sunshine Award” to bring some sunshine into this chilly February.

I could do with some sunshine, we were supposed to have just had a quick weekend away taking in a bit of Dartmoor scenery, however a poorly DS Saturday morning put the lid on those plans. He’s OK now, slowing getting back to his normal self and we’ve enjoyed a relaxing bonus weekend at home and even managed an early Valentine’s evening meal at home. Now some sunshine to brighten up the kids for our busy half term week would be great please.
Favourite colour: Purple, I’ve been a purple fan since my teenage years when I did once tie dye a pair of jeans purple. Oddly with no encouragement from me DD seems to have adopted purple too.
Favourite animal: Hmm, nothing immediately springs to mind here, does it sound bad if I say worms? They’re pretty harmless, do a lot of good in the composter and provide my kids with plenty of amusement in the garden.
Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Got to be coffee, though I don’t like it too strong, I currently drink it black. Every now and then I have to revise my habits and drink quite a bit less coffee and start sleeping again!
Facebook or twitter: Twitter more recently, I’m going off Facebook, though I still waste too much time on both.
Favourite Number: 52, no idea why but it has been for years.
Favourite day of the week: Tricky one, I know the kids each have a favourite day, maybe I’ll go with DS and Tuesday. By then the week has started and I’ve got stuck into it and can continue to do so with a childfree morning.
My passion: Have to say my family, watching DD and DS grow and develop is amazing, I cannot believe that I had a hand in creating them and continue to marvel at their learning curves, also how do they learn so quickly what pushes my buttons to wind me up? DD has been an expert since the age of 2!
Getting or giving presents: I find both tricky. Buying presents for anyone outside my nearest and dearest is a nightmare, Christmas shopping is my worst nightmare. Receiving presents I like, of course, but even I struggle to think of what I want so I pity anyone else trying to second guess me.
Favourite patterns: Frost on car windows and the intricate patterns of snowflakes, sorry not helping with spreading the sunshine there!
Favourite flowers: Continuing with the purple theme I quite like buddleia (purple “butterfly” bushes), though I don’t have one in my garden currently. I do like the simplicity of gerbera flowers too.
Well, Ali, hope that continues to spread a bit of sunshine. Anyone care to continue to spread the warmth? I will take the easy route and tag some of my real life friends who I know won’t take offence or feel obliged!

Thanks for keeping the sunshine going
Yes snowflake’s are pretty patterns and you can still have the sun shining when it snow’s!!!
